Eating As An Agricultural Act - Episode 6 Out Now
Episode 6 - The Importance of Urban Farming with Caterina Romanelli
Season 2 debuts today with Episode 6 of The Green Route with MAREDI Design out now! Be sure to check it out on your favorite streaming platform, such as Apple Podcasts or Spotify, or by clicking here.
For episode six, we sat down with Caterina Romanelli, who is the third generation of her family's organic farm in Udine, Italy. When she is not wearing her ESG-strategist hat in her professional life, she is intently working on developing innovative business and impact models that aspire to transform agriculture and food systems at L’Orto Felice (or The Happy Garden). With her vision, she is developing the farm into a sort of community hub, where they host everything from experiential events with guest chefs to school visits from local students. We talk about the power of our food through an ecological lens as well as its impact on our health. Her belief is that urban farming should be the way of the future (she even shares some resources with all of us), and she explains why seasonality is such a crucial aspect in how we eat and consume.
This is most definitely an episode that you don't want to miss if eating is something you are passionate about (and let's be honest, who isn't?)!
And after you listen, don't forget to leave a review and let us know what you think, or share any takeaways that you have. If there are other topics around sustainability that you would like us to explore in future episodes, we would love to hear from you!
See you down the Green Route 😊
